Terms of service
The rules for using SaunaPlanet: what we offer, what we expect from users and how we resolve problems.
Draft — needs legal review before publication. Passages in square brackets are waiting for data or confirmation.
1. General provisions
The SaunaPlanet service runs at sauna-planet.pl (the “Service”). It is operated by [NAZWA ADMINISTRATORA], [ADRES SIEDZIBY], tax ID (NIP) [NIP], REGON [REGON] (the “Provider”).
These terms set the rules for using the Service and are the terms of electronic services. We process personal data according to the Privacy policy.
Contact with the Provider: [ADRES E-MAIL KONTAKTOWY] and the Contact page.
Technical requirements: a current browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled, and an internet connection. Some features (e.g. “I’m here”) need the browser’s permission to use your location.
2. What the Service is
SaunaPlanet is an information platform about saunas: a map and directory of facilities, sauna events and sessions, sauna master profiles, user reviews, following masters, e-mail notifications and the sauna passport (“I’m here”).
The Service does not run sauna facilities, does not organise events, does not sell tickets and does not take payments. Offers, prices, opening hours and entry rules come from facilities and organisers, may change, and what the facility says on site is binding. Check with the facility before you go.
Using the Service is free. Facility data comes from owners, users and publicly available sources; report a mistake with “Report incorrect information” on the facility page and we will fix it after checking.
3. User account
- You create an account with an e-mail address and a password and confirm the address from the activation message. The Service is intended for people who are at least [TO BE VERIFIED: age, e.g. 16].
- Give a real e-mail address and do not share your password. You are responsible for actions taken from your account.
- One person, one account. Roles (e.g. sauna master, facility manager) are additional permissions on the same account.
- The account agreement is open-ended and free. You can end it at any time by asking us to delete the account (see Contact).
- We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or the law; we will tell you about the decision unless the law or security forbids it.
4. Event sign-ups
A signed-in user can sign up for an event with the “Register” button. The rules:
- A sign-up is free: it reserves your spot but is not a ticket or a paid booking. The Service charges nothing. If an event is paid, you pay the organiser at the facility [TO BE VERIFIED: confirm that no event is paid through the Service].
- A new sign-up has the status “awaiting confirmation”. The organiser, a person managing the facility or a moderator can confirm it. Confirmation means the organiser knows you intend to come; it creates no contract between you and the Provider.
- For events with limited places the organiser decides who takes part; when no places are left, signing up is blocked.
- You can cancel a sign-up at any time with “Cancel registration”.
- The organiser may change or cancel the event. The Service is not responsible for such changes, but shows the current data it received.
- The “Going” mark is an informal sign of interest, not a sign-up.
Entry rules, prices and any health requirements are set by the facility or organiser.
5. User content
Reviews, ratings, comments and photos you add are yours and you are responsible for them. The rules:
- write about your own experience, truthfully and politely,
- do not post unlawful or insulting content, hate speech, advertising or spam,
- do not post other people’s personal data or photos of people without their consent (saunas call for particular care with privacy),
- add only photos and text you have the rights to.
By adding content you grant the Provider a free, non-exclusive licence to display it in the Service for as long as it is published [TO BE VERIFIED: scope, e.g. use in promotional material]. You keep your rights to the content. Your review shows your first name and the initial of your last name.
6. Moderation and reporting violations
New facilities submitted to the Service and sauna master profiles are moderated before publication. We may remove other content if it breaks these terms or the law.
Report content that breaks the law or these terms to [ADRES E-MAIL KONTAKTOWY], giving the page address and a short description. We will handle the report without undue delay and, if we remove content, tell its author where possible. The author can appeal by writing to the same address [TO BE VERIFIED: contact point and procedure under the Digital Services Act (DSA)].
We are liable for user content under the rules for hosting services: we are not liable for content whose unlawful nature we did not know, and we remove it promptly after receiving a credible notice.
7. Sauna master and facility profiles
- A sauna master or facility profile is claimed from an invitation or created by the person themselves; it becomes public after moderation approves it.
- The person running a profile is responsible for the accuracy of its data, prices and photos, and for having the rights to them.
- Some facility data comes from public sources. If you want a profile corrected or removed, write to us — we will deal with it promptly.
- Features for facilities and sauna masters are currently free (pilot period). We will announce any charges in advance [TO BE VERIFIED: current plans].
8. What is not allowed
- disrupting the Service, bypassing safeguards and limits, or testing for vulnerabilities without our written permission,
- mass, automated collection of the Service’s content without our permission,
- impersonating other people or facilities,
- using the Service for spam, fraud or anything unlawful,
- collecting “I’m here” stamps by faking your location.
9. Liability
We do our best to keep information in the Service current, but we cannot guarantee that it fully matches reality. We are not responsible for the quality of facilities’ services, for events organised by others or for user content, on the terms described above.
You use a sauna at your own risk, in line with the facility’s rules and your health. Information in the Service, including the beginner’s guide, is general and is not medical advice.
We are liable for damage caused by our fault, within the limits of the law. Nothing in these terms limits a consumer’s rights under mandatory law.
10. Complaints
Send a complaint about how the Service works to [ADRES E-MAIL KONTAKTOWY]. Describe the problem, give the e-mail address of your account and, if you can, a screenshot (without passwords or profile-claim links).
We will answer within 14 days of receiving the complaint [TO BE VERIFIED: deadline]. A consumer may also use out-of-court dispute resolution, e.g. mediation or the help of a local consumer ombudsman [TO BE VERIFIED].
11. Changes to the terms
We may change these terms for important reasons, e.g. a change in law or in the Service’s features. We will tell signed-in users at least 14 days ahead; if you do not accept the change, you can delete your account before it takes effect.
12. Governing law and effective date
Polish law applies to contracts with the Provider. A consumer living in another EU country keeps the protection of the mandatory rules there. Disputes are decided by the courts competent under generally applicable rules.
These terms are in effect from [DATA WEJŚCIA W ŻYCIE].
