How SaunaPlanet works
A short guide to what you can do once you have an account and what to expect.
How to register for an event
Registration reserves your spot for free — it is not a ticket. Any entry fee is paid at the facility — SaunaPlanet takes no payments.
- Sign in or create an account. You can browse events without one.
- Open the event and click “Register”.
- The registration waits for the organizer’s confirmation (“Registration awaiting confirmation”). Once confirmed you will see “Registration confirmed” — also in your profile.
- Add the event to your calendar with the button on the event page.
- Cannot make it? Click “Cancel registration”.
“Going” only marks your interest: it shows you plan to come, but it does not reserve a place and needs no confirmation. Only “Register” reserves a place. The details of registration are in the Terms.
Reviews and ratings
Signed-in users write reviews of facilities and of past events. A rating is 1–5 stars with an optional comment. Under a review we show your first name and the initial of your last name (e.g. “Julia S.”), never your e-mail address. A facility can reply to a review, and you can delete your own review.
The content rules are in the Terms. Report wrong facility data with “Report incorrect information” on the facility page.
“I’m here” and the sauna passport
When you are at a facility, open its page and tap “I’m here”. Your browser asks for your location — it is used only to check that you are within 300 m of the facility. We store the facility and the day, not your position.
Stamps collect in the sauna passport in your profile and build a weekly streak. Only you see them, they do not affect ratings or rankings and you can delete them at any time. More: Privacy policy.
Following and notifications
Follow a sauna master on their profile — their events appear in your feed. Only you see your favourite facilities.
E-mails (weekend plan, new events from followed masters, reminders) are off by default. Turn them on in account settings; you can unsubscribe with one click in any message.
Account and data
You create an account with an e-mail address and a password. Your data and how we protect it are described in the Privacy policy, and the rules of use in the Terms. For now you ask us to delete your account or send your data: use the “Your data” section in account settings or the Contact page.
